FINA approved amaedments to the rules of competition on July 21, 2017 dduring the FINA Congress in Budapest. These changes are effective September 21, 2017. Pursuant to articles 601.4.7B and 601.4.8, changes adopted in between meetings of the House of Delegates shall alutomatically be adopted unless USMS takes action to reject, amend or repeal the change.
